Psychology Transfer Major

Program Description: Psychology is the science that seeks to understand behavior and mental processes, and to apply that understanding in the service of human welfare. Psychologists are involved in studying, predicting, improving, or explaining some aspect of behavior and mental processes.

To begin to appreciate all that can call within the realm of behavior and mental process. take a moment to jot down to answer to this question: Who are you?

Perhaps you described your personality or your 20/20 vision, your interests or your aspirations, your skills or your accomplishments, your IQ or your cultural background. You could have listed these and dozens of others things about yourself, and every one of them would reflect some aspect of what psychologists mean by behavior and mental processes.

What is psychology about? Learning that

  • We're all different, yet very much the same.
  • Human lives are continually changing.
  • Human behavior is motivated and has many different causes.
  • People play and active part in creating their own experiences.
