Uploading Assignments

 

Most Iowa Central Online courses require you to submit course assignments using the WebCT upload feature.


Step 1: Log in to WebCT, enter your course, and then navigate to the assignments portion of the course. Click on the name of the assignment you wish to submit.


Step 2: Read the posted requirements for the assignment and complete the assignment in the format that the instructor asks for, typically a typed document. To make the process as seamless as possible, please follow the formats listed below when naming your assignment.

File format requirements:

Do not use spaces in the file name

Do not use numbers in the file name

Do not use special characters in the file name (!@#$%^&*()_+-={}[]:";'<>,.?/|\)

Step 3: Click on the Upload File button.


Step 4: Click on the Browse button.


Step 5:  In the window that pops up, navigate to the assignment that you saved, click on the file to select it, and then click on Open.


Step 6: Your file will now be listed in the text box. Click the Upload button to continue.


Step 7: You will notice that your assignment file is now listed. You must click the Submit Assignment button at the bottom.


Step 8: You will be taken to a page that confirms your assignment submission. If you see this page, you have submitted your assignment correctly.
