Students participating in Iowa Central's Student Senate are able to earn valuable college credit (1 credit hour per term) and receive $100-$200 scholarship money per semester. Students will help plan and oversee campus dances, recycling campaigns, voter registration drives, game nights, coffee houses, and other activities for Iowa Central students. Student Senators will also organize carnivals for elementary school children and toy and food drives to benefit impoverished and needy families. Student Senators will visit the state legislature and learn more about our state political system.

This fall we will be attending our annual statewide student leadership conference for student senate members from around the state.
