Prospective
international students applying for admission to Iowa Central
must:

Complete an International Student Application. (Click here for application)
- Submit
official transcripts of the high school/ college from which
the student has graduated.
- Show
evidence of their English proficiency by providing one of
the following:

TOEFL score of 450 or higher (CBT 133 or higher/IBT 45 or higher)
- An
official transcript showing satisfactory grades (C or
better).

Submit a statement of financial support to provide evidence
of ability to meet educational and living expenses while

students are involved in many activities at Iowa Central. Sports,
music, art, Student Senate, Student Ambassador, Business Competition

Fees quoted are based on 12 credits per semester. International
tuition and student fees per credit hour are $164.00. A full-time
international student requires taking a minimum of 12 credit
hours per semester.

| Residence
Facilities |
| Iowa
Central Community College offers housing facilities for 12 months
a year. The dining hall will serve 19 meals per week. For holidays and summer
the cafeteria is closed. |
| Scholarship |
| Financial
assistance may be available to international students in the
form of scholarship and/or part-time employment on campus. |
| Employment |
| Students
who are maintaining F-1 status are eligible to work on-campus.
Work is restricted to 20 hours per week for international students.
Internships are available after one year. OPT (Optional Practical
Training) are available for up to one year after graduation. |
| Degrees
and Certificates |
| Iowa
Central is a two-year public community college. An Associate
in Arts & Science Degree is granted which is designed for
transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
The two-year
Associate in Arts Degree from the Arts and Science Division
of Iowa Central will enable a student to enter four-year colleges
and universities as a junior prepared to complete work toward
a bachelor’s degree in any number of major fields of
study.

| Transportation |
| The
nearest international airports to Fort Dodge are in Des Moines,
Iowa and Minneapolis, Minnesota. There is a bus service available
from both locations to Fort Dodge. There are domestic flights
everyday to Fort Dodge from both cities. The college staff will
receive the student in Fort Dodge. The students should inform
the college of their arrival date and time in Fort Dodge prior
to their arrival. |
| Health |
| A
nurse is available on campus from 9:30 to 1:30 on weekdays.
All international students are required to have health insurance.
