| Ways
to Give to Iowa Central
Memorial
Gifts
A
Memorial gift is a thoughtful way to recognize a special occasion
or to honor the memory of a relative or friend. To make a memorial
gift, send your contribution (along with acknowledgement information)
to the Iowa Central Foundation. The person honored (or the family)
will be notified of your kindness.
Annual
Fund
Each year alumni and friends give to the annual fund to
provide unrestricted gifts that assist the College in providing support
where the need is the greatest. Gifts of all sizes have made a real
and lasting impact on the quality of education.
Endowments
The perpetual gift. An endowed fund uses only the interest
earned each year from the gift. A named endowment can be established
with a $25,000 gift and will allow you to direct the use of the fund
to support an activity or program of interest to you or your family.
The foundation office can offer assistance with wording to ensure
your wishes are clear and consistent with board policy.
Scholarship
Support
Scholarship
gifts provide financial resources for students to pay for tuition,
books and fees. A named scholarship fund can be established with
a minimum of $500 for a three year commitment. Scholarship gifts
can
be directed toward already named funds or directed to the Foundation's
general academic scholarship fund.
Planned
Gifts
Gift
planning is the process of selecting the best methods and assets
for making a gift, such as cash, appreciated stocks or bonds, real
estate, life insurance, trusts and bequests. A planned gift lets
you assist Iowa Central in its mission of providing for the varied
educational needs of the diverse individuals it serves through accessible,
flexible, community centered programs and activities both within
and beyond the classroom. A planned gift can provide tax benefits
to you by reducing income, capital gains or estate tax. Call the
Foundation office to learn more about planned giving.
