Program Description

This Associate in Applied Science degree in Turfgrass Management  from Iowa Central Community College will allow students to gain the valuable knowledge and experiences that will be essential to the workplace. 

The program will include topics of interest in Turfgrass Management, Pesticide Application, Irrigation Systems, Landscaping, Soils and Plants.  The program will utilize facilities on campus, as well as Willow Ridge Golf Course, which is a nine hole golf course taken care of by the college.  The student will leave the program gaining valuable knowledge and experience to be able to maintain personal residences, golf courses, athletic facilities and parks. 

This program will give the students vital hands-on experience of taking skills learned in the classroom and applying them out in the field.  The addition of Willow Ridge Golf Course as an “outside” classroom will greatly increase the amount of hands-on work that is available to the student.
