Turfgrass Management Coordinator
 

Bio:
Scott Birdsell has been employed in the turfgrass industry for 19 years.  He spent eight years at the Hampton Country Club, located in Hampton, Iowa, where he was assistant superintendent for two years.  He also spent one year at the Mason City Country Club and ten years as the head golf course superintendent at the Humboldt Country Club.  He is a member of the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association.  Scott has a Bachelors degree from the University of Iowa.

Matt Cosgrove
Webster County Conservation Director
 

Bio: 
Matt has worked for the Webster County Conservation Board for the past 11 years.  He attended the 156th Basic Law Enforcement Class at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and worked as a Park Ranger with the Webster County Conservation Board for eight years before taking the Executive Director position in 2004.

Matt is the Chief Hunter Education Instructor for Webster County. He is a founding member of the “Friends of Webster County Conservation”, a non-profit organization devoted to conservation and recreation in Webster County.  Matt is active in the Fort Dodge Catholic School System and is a member of the Fort Dodge Young Professionals, the Webster County Development - Trails Task Force, the Fort Dodge Envision 2030 Recreation/Entertainment Committee, Pheasants Forever, and Whitetails Unlimited.

Matt attended Iowa Central Community College for two years before transferring to Iowa State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry.

Bio:
Randy has been employed in the nursery business for 26 years. He owned and operated “Trees N More Nursery for 15 years. He worked as a landscape designer of residential and commercial properties for Becker Florists for 10 years. He is an Iowa Certified Nurseryman and Master Gardener.
