| Phi Theta Kappa
has recognized academic excellence in the two-year college since 1918 and
has become the largest and the most prestigious honor society serving
two-year colleges around the world.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will open new
doors for your academic journey. The organization offers a myriad of
opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment and personal development
through programs based on Phi Theta Kappa's four hallmarks of Scholarship,
Leadership, Service and Fellowship.
Lambda Kappa is the oldest chapter in Iowa, starting
April 27, 1961. In December 2003 we stepped up our role in the community and
society when we elected our first officers, started having meetings, and
became more involved in regional and international events.
For membership into Lambda Kappa, you must be a full-time student with a GPA
of 3.50 or higher and have completed at least 12 semester hours of coursework.
Members must also maintain 3.25 GPA.

Congratulations! We have
earned Five Star Status. Everyone
should be very proud of themselves, we have done an amazing job, and
we have come a long way in a very short time. Thank you for
all of your hard work and dedication. |

A horizon advisor award was given to Rick
Sandquist. Please thank all of our advisors for their help.
If it wasn't for them, we truly would not be anywhere near where we
are today. |
